Pastor Russ grew up in Girard, Kansas where he and his family attended a small church plant, Living Faith Church of the Nazarene. It was here that Russ made his faith his own during his Middle School and High School years as a part of the Living Faith youth group. The summer after his Junior year of High School, Pastor Russ felt God calling him to full time ministry during a communion service at summer camp. Russ then attended Southern Nazarene University where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Pastoral Ministry with a minor in Biblical Language. Russ began his time at Choctaw Church as a Youth Intern in August 2018, before becoming the full-time Youth Pastor after his graduation in May 2019. Russ also serves as the Worship and Arts coordinator. Russ loves hanging out with students, going to school sporting events, playing games, and worshiping God on his guitar.
